Lens lab: a free lens, camera and focus tool for cinematographers

Lens lab puts the published figures for 559 cinema lenses in 73 sets beside the cameras they are shot on. Choose a camera mode and a lens to see the field of view, depth of field, hyperfocal distance and close focus, and whether the lens covers the sensor.

Plan a job on one project card: cameras, lenses, frame rates, data rates, a shot list, camera reports and a lens test day. Then price the kit and crew with Alex Coleborn, a cinematographer who hires out his own camera and lens kit. The lab is free and runs in your browser.

What it does
